Privacy policy
What data we collect, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights.
Updated on October 4, 2026 ✓ Information checked on October 4, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original
This policy explains how the Pirenópolis Goiás guide (pirenopolisgoias.com.br) handles personal data, in accordance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).
What data we collect
We only collect what you send through the forms:
- Contact: name, email, subject and message.
- Business listing: business name, category, address, website, Cadastur number (optional), name of the person responsible, email and additional information.
To protect the forms against abuse, we also record an anonymised technical identifier derived from your IP address, used only to limit repeated submissions. We do not ask for phone numbers or WhatsApp.
What we use it for
- Replying to your message;
- checking and, where appropriate, publishing the business listing in the business directory — only the name, category, address, website and source; the details of the person responsible are not published.
We do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Submissions are stored for up to 180 days and are deleted automatically after that, unless they need to be kept to comply with a legal obligation or to maintain a published listing.
Google Analytics and measurement cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages are read and where visits come from. IP addresses are anonymized, and we do not use this data for advertising or to identify you.
Measurement cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*, valid for up to 2 years) are only stored if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. Until then — or if you decline — Google Analytics runs in consent-denied mode, without cookies, receiving only anonymous technical signals. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time or delete it by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
We also record, without personal data, when a form is sent successfully, to know how many contacts the site generates. Google Analytics data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and may be processed outside Brazil.
The site shows Google AdSense ads, always labelled and never on forms or institutional pages. Before you accept the cookie notice, ads are shown without personalisation (Google consent mode); after you accept, Google may use cookies to choose more relevant ads, under Google’s advertising policy.
We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure visits and form submissions and to show the guide on those networks. It loads only after you accept the cookie notice; without your acceptance, nothing is sent to Meta. Meta handles this data under the Meta Privacy Policy.
Simple preferences, such as language and light or dark theme, are stored only in your browser.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, as well as information about how it is processed. Make your request via the contact form, choosing the subject “Other” and giving the email address used in your submission.
