About the Pirenópolis Goiás guide

An independent, free guide that is transparent about where its information comes from.

Updated on October 4, 2026 ✓ Information checked on October 4, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original

Pirenópolis Goiás (pirenopolisgoias.com.br) is an independent, free travel guide to Pirenópolis, a colonial town in the state of Goiás, in central Brazil. Our aim is to help visitors plan better: when to go, how to get there, how many days to stay, what to see in the historic centre and in nature, and how to organise a trip around the festivals.

What the guide is

  • Independent. We are not the town’s official website and we do not represent Pirenópolis City Hall, Goiás Turismo, Iphan (Brazil’s national heritage institute), the Festa do Divino organisers or any public body or company.
  • Source-based. Every page shows when it was updated and where its data comes from — we prefer primary sources, such as the City Hall, Iphan, IBGE (Brazil’s national statistics institute) and the attractions’ official websites.
  • Cautious. When we cannot confirm a piece of information, we do not publish it or we flag that it needs checking. We do not publish opening hours or prices without a source and a date.
  • Multilingual. The content is written in Portuguese and adapted into English, Spanish, French, Italian and Chinese.

What the guide is not

  • It is not a tour agency: we do not sell tours, tickets or accommodation.
  • We do not publish paid reviews. Sponsorship, where it exists, is labelled and does not change the editorial text.
  • We do not write personal travel accounts: the content is editorial and informative.

Business directory

The business directory lists businesses only when there is a verifiable public source and does not show phone numbers or WhatsApp. Local businesses can submit their details for free.
